At High Point Market x NKBA this fall, we teamed up with the Barbour Spangle design team and five brand partners to build a Wet Bar vignette that felt calm, warm and ready to entertain. Here’s a closer look at the design choices behind it, and the True Caliber pieces that made it work.
It started with Sherwin Williams “Upward”
When the Barbour Spangle team showed us Sherwin-William’s soft, airy blue “Upward” color, we knew right away it belonged next to our Bluestone finish. Bluestone’s cool, grounded tone gives Upward something to rest against. Together they read as one quiet palette, both accentuating and blending the rest of the space.
Bringing it together with Barbour Spangle
The Barbour Spangle design team took that starting point and pulled the whole room together. They layered in pieces from our brand partners so every surface and finish talked to the next:
- Blanco: Oovalon Sink
- Kichler: Accent lighting
- Sherwin-Williams: Upward
- Cabinetry Joint: fully custom, RTA cabinetry
- Cosentino: Dekton “Arga” countertops
Brass and walnut details
Our brass finish picked up the tones of the Blanco sink and the Kichler lighting, so the metals felt intentional from fixture to appliance.
Our walnut handles are capped in brass, which tied them to the hardware and the cabinet finish at the same time. Those handles ship unfinished, so they can be stained to match any project. We planned to stain them on site. Once we saw them against the cabinets, we left them raw. The natural walnut was already the right match.
It’s a good reminder of why we offer them unfinished: designers get to decide what the space needs, even if the answer is nothing at all.
The True Caliber pieces behind the bar
A great wet bar keeps drinks, mixers and ice within arm’s reach so the host never has to leave the conversation. These three pieces did exactly that.
24″ Beverage Column
The True Beverage Column gives the bar full-height storage in a 24-inch wide footprint. Wine, beer, sparkling water and mixers all live in one place, removing them from your main fridge and giving easy access for guests to access themselves. With a bulk storage bin in the bottom, you can chill open wine bottles while you’re entertaining or throw full cases of drinks to chill them before the party.

24″ Refrigerator Drawers
Refrigerated drawers keep garnishes, citrus, cream and backup bottles right under the counter where you work. Easy from-the-top access allows for you to reach in, without having to bend down into a cabinet or lose a beverage in the way back. They pair perfectly with our clear ice machine so your cocktail station is in one place! Available in stainless, panel-ready, one of our curated finishes (like Bluestone!) or a completely custom matched finish of your choosing — these drawers are outdoor rated so the party can take place indoors or out!

15″ Clear Ice Machine
No bar is complete without ice, and our perfectly clear, top-hat shaped ice is the kind that guests notice. It melts slower, so drinks stay cold without watering them down. At 15″ wide, it fits into even a compact bar layout — and has a production capacity of 85 pounds per day so you’ll never run out! Also available in stainless, panel-ready, one of our curated finishes, or completely custom matched finish of your choosing — our clear ice machine will fit seamlessly into any bar set-up (whether indoors or out)!

Outside on the terrace: The Caliber 60″ Signature Rockwell Grill
Just outside, the outdoor terrace featured our 60″ Signature Rockwell social grill in our Olive finish with stainless hardware. The velvety, organic Olive finish brought the same color-forward thinking outdoors, with the stainless accents keeping it grounded and ready for serious cooking. It showed how the True Caliber line can carry a design story from the bar to the backyard.
With it’s disappearing lid and handcrafted sapele wood base, this outdoor centerpiece drew a lot of attention!
